Short answer

A robot vacuum cleaner is an autonomous floor-cleaning appliance that navigates a room, suctions debris and can mop in the same pass. Youwang manufactures robot vacuum platforms from 1,000 to 4,000 Pa suction with LDS laser or gyroscope navigation, 90–170 minute runtimes and optional self-emptying dust collection, at MOQs from 500 units and lead times of 15–20 days.

Scope: what this product page covers

This page covers the ODM robot vacuum platforms we manufacture: gyroscope models (D2, D3, V2G series) for entry price points, LDS laser models (V2L, V8, V6 series) for mid-range, and self-emptying configurations (V2G-SJ, V2L-SJ) with a collection bin base. Wet mopping is available on all platforms as a passive water-tank module, not as a powered scrubbing system.

Materials

  • ABS and PC housings, injection moulded in-house
  • 18650 lithium-ion packs (2,600 / 2,550 / 4,400 / 5,200 mAh), 7.4 V to 14.8 V
  • HEPA-grade dust box filters
  • V-shape or single-suction port options; plush water-locking or fibre mop cloths

Manufacturing process

  1. Platform selection and configuration You choose a base platform (D2/D3, V2G, V2L, V6, V8) and lock the configuration: suction level, navigation type, dust box size, water tank type, app features and packaging. Configuration is confirmed on a specification sheet before any tooling or samples.
  2. Sampling and approval A pre-production sample with your colour, logo and packaging artwork is produced for approval. Colour is customisable (black, white or Pantone-matched) because housings are moulded in-house on 17 injection machines.
  3. PCBA and SMT Main control boards are assembled in-house on 8 SMT lines using 7 Yamaha YSM20R placers and a Siemens HS60 line, with 0201 and BGA capability, verified by 5 AOI machines, 3 SPI units and 1 X-ray machine.
  4. Assembly and burn-in Four finished-product assembly lines build, pair and test each unit: suction measurement, sensor calibration, charge cycle verification and WiFi pairing are checked on the line, supported by more than 50 pieces of test equipment.
  5. Certification, packing and shipment Region-specific compliance testing is completed before shipment where required for the destination market. Export cartons are designed to your artwork; standard robot vacuum cartons pack 2–4 units with documented 20GP/40HQ container loading quantities.

Robot Vacuum Cleaners in production

Typical applications

  • Private-label robot vacuums for retail and e-commerce brands
  • Entry gyroscope platforms for promotional and volume channels
  • LDS platforms for mid-range DTC brands requiring app mapping
  • Self-emptying configurations for premium home appliance lines

Quality and documentation

  • ISO-certified management system; product-level compliance files available for review before order
  • In-line suction, sensor and charging tests on every unit
  • AOI, SPI and X-ray inspection on all PCBA
  • Battery packs supplied with UN38.3 transport documentation
  • Ageing and drop sampling per batch before packing

What we do not do

Certification files are held within the same manufacturing group (Shenzhen Youwang and Shenzhen Geerlepol, same ownership and same production site), and the entity named on each document is stated per file. Status differs by model: the D3, V6 and V8 families have completed CE-RED, FCC and RoHS testing, while the V2 family currently has battery transport documentation only, with unit-level certification quoted as a project cost where the destination market requires it. We do not develop SLAM algorithms, laser modules or motor cores in-house, and we do not build powered mop-lifting or base-station mop-washing systems below the V9 configuration.

Technical questions

What is the minimum order quantity for a custom robot vacuum?

MOQ is 500–1,000 units depending on the platform and configuration. Entry gyroscope models start at 500 units; LDS and self-emptying configurations start at 1,000 units. Colour customisation is included at MOQ because housings are moulded in-house.

How much suction power do you need in a robot vacuum?

1,000–2,000 Pa handles hard floors and daily dust; 3,000 Pa and above is meaningful mainly for medium-pile carpet and pet hair. Our range covers 1,000 to 4,000 Pa, and we will tell you when a lower-suction platform fits your market rather than upselling the top model.

LDS or gyroscope navigation — which should I choose?

LDS builds a map in one pass, supports no-go zones and costs more; gyroscope models clean in a structured pattern without a visual map and hit a lower retail price point. For products above roughly USD 150 retail we recommend LDS; below that, gyroscope keeps your bill of materials honest.

Can you ship with my own app and brand?

We ship with a white-label WiFi app that carries your brand name and colours, plus Alexa and Google Assistant voice integration. We do not develop a proprietary app from scratch or integrate third-party cloud platforms as a custom software project; app scope is confirmed at the configuration stage.
